Three days, two demo sessions from our very own Ryan Watts, and more great conversations than we could count. From October 14-16th, 2026, SigParser set up shop at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown as a proud sponsor and exhibitor of LMA Tech West x Southwest, the Legal Marketing Association's regional conference. The theme was "Set the Pace," and it fit the week well!
LMA Tech West pulls together legal marketers, business development pros, and the tech teams behind them. That makes it one of our favorite places to listen to what's frustrating firms, what's exciting them, and where legal tech is heading next. Our Co-Founders, Ryan Watts and Paul Mendoza, spent the week doing exactly that, and Ryan took the stage twice along the way.
Ryan opened Day 2 with a quick tour of SigParser, built around one question every firm faces: who do we actually know?
The answer usually lives in places no one searches. Email signatures. Meeting invites. The attendee list from last spring's conference. SigParser scans up to 10 years of email and calendar history, finds every contact, and captures their name, title, company, phone number, and location. Then it keeps that information current and syncs it to the firm's CRM, with no manual data entry.
The result is a living map of the firm's network. A few searchable examples:
All of it is searchable by title, department, location, and relationship strength. The relationships were always there. Now firms can actually use them.
That evening, Ryan led a TED-style session called "No More Logins: How AI Agents Change the Game for Attorney Engagement."
He started with a scenario every legal marketer knows. An attorney needs a list, some client intel, or a quick read on a relationship. Marketing, BD, or the CRM team jumps in, digs through several systems, and pieces it together. It works, but it's slow, and it turns marketers into data middlemen.
Then Ryan flipped it: what if the attorney could just ask?
He walked the room through:
His challenge to the audience: was to stop being someone who fetches data, and become someone who designs how it's used. The marketers who build the workflows, governance, and knowledge behind AI agents will shape how their firms work. Attendees walked out with real-world legal use cases and a framework for gauging whether their tech stack is ready.
An AI agent can only answer what its data can support. Ask "Who here knows the general counsel at our top prospect?" and the agent needs clean, connected relationship data to respond. Without it, you get a shrug, or worse, a wrong answer.
That's the role SigParser plays. We turn the activity in your team's inboxes and calendars into structured data on who knows whom, how well, and how recently. It's the foundation that makes questions like that answerable.
Between sessions, our table stayed busy. Ryan and Paul heard the same story again and again: a partner knows exactly the right person at a target company, but that connection never makes it into the CRM, so the rest of the firm can't see it. Everyone wanted to know how to surface those connections without piling more work onto attorneys or marketing teams.
Visitors also got a first look at our new configurable scoring. Instead of one mystery number, firms can build the scores they need, like a Gift score, an Introduction score, or a BD score, and set exactly how each one is calculated.
And we of course had to take a photo of our logo on the sponsor wall! Seeing SigParser alongside so many great legal tech partners was definitely one of the many highlights of our week.
A few ideas are sticking with us after three days in Phoenix:
A big thank you to the Legal Marketing Association, the LMA Tech West x Southwest organizers, and everyone who came to Ryan's sessions or stopped by our table. You made the week.
Next stop: AEC.AI Summit in Austin, Texas, November 18–20, 2026. If you'll be there, come find us!
